Do I have to start a demo to see the product?
No. The homepage is the front door. Try the live demo when you want to click around. Create an account when you want your own leftover. Sign in if you already have keys. We will not throw you into sample books.
What’s in the live demo?
A full sample household and a sample shop — leftover, bills, the till, invoices, P&L. Every feature is unlocked so you can see the real product. Nothing you change is saved. Sign up to keep a ledger.
Do I have to link my bank?
No. Type it in, import CSV or OFX, or connect a bank later through Plaid. Linking is read-only. Arcane Ledger cannot move money, and we never see your bank password.
What is leftover / safe-to-spend?
Your current balance minus upcoming bills, reserved goals, and a safety cushion you set. It answers: how much can I spend right now without breaking what’s coming.
What does “Don’t spend the till” mean?
Shop cash after payables is oxygen, not a paycheck. Hold a cut for tax. Then you draw. Flip Personal ⇄ Business to keep kitchen-table leftover off the shop books.
Can couples share a budget?
Yes. Invite your person. Personal books stay private. An Ours ledger lets either of you add a spend or a bill. Shared bills reserve leftover for both people.
Is Arcane Ledger free?
The core ledger is free: leftover, transactions, budgets, bills, subscription detection, household invite, and import. Paid plans unlock extras such as The Steward, Family tools, business P&L, and the rest of the estate.
Is this financial advice?
No. Figures, forecasts, tax holds, and Steward replies are estimates for information only. Not tax, legal, or investment advice. Verify anything that matters with your institution or a professional.
Who can see my data?
You. Household members you explicitly invite, and only on the shared books. Service providers we need to run the product (Firebase, optional Plaid, Stripe for paid plans). We do not sell your data. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Account → Request Data Deletion, or email stackedalchemist@gmail.com. We delete personal data from live systems within 30 days.
Is there a mobile app?
The web app is installable. An Android / iOS beta waitlist is inside the product. Join from the demo or after you sign in.
Kids under 13?
Arcane Ledger is not directed at children under 13. Family tools are for a parent’s household ledger, not a child’s own account without a guardian.
